Journey through the Trans-Siberian Railway
Very informative. Very engaging. I have to admit Dr. Stasiowski spoke quite rapidly (and that's from a New Yorker). I think perhaps this lecture should be broken in two. She had so much information to offer. I also loved the literature aspect of it. More please
This was a thoroughly stimulating talk by a real expert. She provided a lot of information on the details of mosaic adorning the floor of Siena Cathedral.
I’ve enjoyed all of the lectures, but I really think this was my favorite. I’ve been to Florence three times, and taken many tours while there, but I wish I’d known some of the things I learned in this talk before my visits. I got a better understanding of how various architectural elements were an expression of the philosophy embraced during this age, as well as their connection to structures in Ancient Rome. Fascinating talk.
Terrific conversation, full of rich history and details. Great background! Very much enjoyed the time with Kate!
Dr. Seger provides a much-needed context for understanding the present effort to remove these statues. Her presentation is clear and unbiased. The background she provides allows students to form their own opinions based on facts.
Dr. Seger was very knowledgeable on the topic and her content was well organized, relevant and well presented. Enjoyable and thought provoking discussion during the Q&A time. Thank you!
This Trans-Siberian Railway course was everything I had hoped for and more. The course was fascinating, informative and entertaining. The presentation photos were beautiful and our guide Vadim was personable and knowledgeable. This course was a birthday gift from my sister. Best birthday present ever!
Kristin is the Divine Marvel. Her breadth and depth of knowledge and ability to convey the information so effortlessly is awesome.
It was a fantastic talk. Dr. Stasiowski’s knowledge and delivery were beyond superb.
Excellent overview of the suffrage movement
I have traveled to these three beautiful walled Tuscan cities but, unfortunately, not with Kate as a guide. Now, due to Kate's wonderful presentation I have an historical context. So impressive that Kate traveled to the sites and gave us a glimpse of the cities through videos.
We thoroughly enjoyed our tour of Mont Saint-Michel. Mr. Wilson gave an engaging presentation and it felt very much like we were getting an insider's tour of the island.
A wonderful over view of the history and passion of the Palio. We were in Siena in Oct 2018 and there was a Palio happening, we knew little about it. We witnessed one of the horses being lead through the streets followed by a throng of singing revelers. I think that Kristin captured this exciting unforgettable event with her enthusiasm for the Palio and the people of Siena
Having never taken a virtual cooking class, I was a little apprehensive. However, Gina made it easy to follow along. Preparation was key. An hour before the class I gathered the tools necessary and pre-measured the ingredients as was sent to the participants prior to the class. Once class started, it was easy to follow along with Gina's clear instruction and demonstration. My cantucci came out of the oven precisely at the same time as hers. I think having a basic knowledge of how biscotti is made definitely helps. Being able to ask questions via chat and see/hear other's comments is very helpful, as well. The interaction is fun! I'll definitely do this again.
This class was a lot of fun. I am a very experienced home cook and biscotti baker. I found Ms Tringali's class easy to follow. She was very engaging and clear with her instructions. You almost felt like you were in the kitchen with her! Her cantucci were delectable! Can't wait to make them again!
