Fiorella gave an excellent presentation on Herculaneum. Very informative and interesting.
First off, I knew NOTHING about this city. Fiorella, made it come alive with her knowledge and enthusiasm about the culture, history and preserved artifacts.
A thorough and engaging presentation, including recent discoveries. Fascinating!
Having planned to have a tour of Herculaneum and the Archaeological Museum in Naples this September but unable to travel due to the Pandemic, I was pleasantly surprised when this presentation was announced. Fiorella was tour guide non-stop of the excavations, art, geography and historical significance of both the museum and Herculaneum itself. My mouth was wide open at the locale, the mosaics, the sculptures, the carbonized scrolls and wood, and day to day life of the Romans. The only issue I had was the acoustics - not her accent - during Fiorella's presentation making it difficult to grasp everything she was saying. Maybe, if she could slow down a bit it might help too. Hope to go on a tour with her someday but for now, I am so glad to have had the chance to see Herculaneum and the museum through her eyes. Thanks again.
I enjoyed the lecture very much. Had a little trouble understanding names because of Fotella's accent. Is there a way to show them written. Great pictures. It was very well done.
