In this conversation, we will be led through the turbulent events of the early 20 century in Russia. We will explore in detail the history of three Russian revolutions that happened at the beginning of the 20th century and our expert will reveal more about the origins of the revolutionary movement, the reasons that caused the abdication of the last Tsar, and ultimately, the fall of the Russian Empire. We will learn both about famous characters such as Lenin, Nicholas II, and Rasputin and also about major political movements and large threats to the government (spoiler: it was not Lenin and his party of Bolsheviks).
Led by Saint Petersburg-based historian Vadim Malinovskiy this conversation offers a crash course into Russia’s revolutionary history. Participants will come away with an increased understanding of political events of the early 20 century in Russia.

Vadim is a historian (MA) who has graduated from Lomonosov Moscow State University. His focus is contemporary Russian history. He is working on a PhD dissertation on Stalin's national policy.

This conversation is suitable for all ages.
