Jonathan packed a lot of information into the class but it was really interesting to see the difference between the term Celtic in our modern mind and what a diverse range of people the Celts were. This could have been a two part class.
I think this seminar bit off a bit much to chew. It was a vast topic to cover and as such, the seminar bounced around from terminology to archeology, to migration to language. It was difficult for me to keep up with it all. I don't dispute the complexities of the topic and that all aspects had value, but it had my eyes rolling back. I started feeling that way early into it but hung in there. Then when it started into languages I quit.
Mr Migliori displayed wide knowledge of ancient Mediterranean , European and Atlantic history . He wove all the disparate bits and pieces into a cohesive whole and in one hour . An excellent presentation !
Interesting discussion- but enliven it with more slides or any way to relate to modern audience ie throw in pop culture references ie Netflix movie The Eagle etc.
Very interesting. Lots of information I didn't know. Very enjoyable and good visuals.
