Raise a glass of Beaujolais Nouveau and join us for a discovery of one of France's most beloved wine regions. In this seminar, we will learn about this unique terroir and see how nature and culture blend together to create this area’s 12 wines.

First, we will take a broad look at French wines in general before narrowing our focus on the Beaujolais area and its unique history, geography, and traditions. We will explore its hills, castles, medieval villages nestled among vineyards and meet the inhabitants of this very traditional French countryside. We will uncover the Gamay grape and learn about its origins and importance in French winemaking. Then we will look at the winemaking cycle and the techniques used in this region to understand how Beaujolais nouveau became the second most renowned wine in the world after Champagne!

Led by an expert on the Beaujolais region and wines, Magali Clémençon, this interactive seminar is an invitation to discover a unique traditional area. Designed to inform curiosity as well as future travels, participants will come away with increased knowledge about Beaujolais nouveau and the Beaujolais wines. Don’t forget your glass of Beaujolais!
