In this series of Constitutional Conversations, we’ll take a close look beyond the first 100 days and of Joseph Biden’s presidency and what we can expect from the Supreme Court rulings handed down in the month of June. We’ll examine both the contemporary and historical precedence of each ruling and the ties they have to the Constitution in a live conversation with a Constitutional Law expert.

We'll have covered a lot of topics in Part 1 of this Supreme Court focused seminar although Part 2 will be a continuation of what is still to come. We'll continue where we left off in our previous discussion. Some ideas of topics that we may focus on are:

  • LGBTQ Anti-Discrimination Laws vs. Religious Freedom
  • Federal Antitrust Laws and Student Athlete Compensation
  • Student Free Speech Rights
  • Disclosure of Non-Profit Donor Lists to the Government
  • Role of Administrative Law Judges at the US Patent and Trademark Office
  • Presidential Reappropriation of Department of Defense Funds (i.e. the Border Wall Case)

This Conversation is one of a series in which we explore current constitutional topics in-depth, anchoring them in the context of historical constitutional developments. These Constitutional Conversations are designed to foster discussion with an expert and explore your questions and curiosity on this week’s topic through the interactive Q&A.

Led by the President of the nation's Center for Civic Education, Christopher R. Riano, Esq, this conversation is set to deepen your understanding of the Constitution and its role in elections today. Bring your curious mind and questions as we engage in a conversation about the role elections and voting play in a representative democracy, and the importance of representation to a vibrant civic discourse.

This conversation is part of a six-part series with Christopher Riano. Each session is designed as a stand-alone seminar as well as part of the series.
