I thought this was a very interesting experience. The information Karen Nilsson shared about many parts of life there was fascinating. So I teresting to know about the loss of farmers and fishermen I. The area. Glad to hear that some of the young are learning the old ways to build those terraces - I will hope to get to that part of Italy one of these years and when I do, I think I would like to take part in one of the volunteer tourism organization projects.
I do think the government needs to consider limiting the tourist numbers. 3.5 million per year is certainly a strain on the resources of the area.
Very good lecture and Karen was brilliant! Thank you!
I thoroughly enjoyed the presentation. We have been to Italy several times, but never to Cinque Terre. Friends had spoken about it, so this was a delightful experience. Many thanks.
Nice overview of the area, its geography, history, economy and culture.
I enjoyed the larger context about Liguria, but information about Cinque Terre proper didn't begin until halfway through the presentation. A bit disappointing.
Karen was great! very informative, great photos and inside tips for travel
