One has a sense of getting to know the region . I thought his presentations were very well prepaired
My expectation of this "journey" was that it would be a lively video journey; that we would 'board' the train and stop at points of interest where we would be actively guided through a few highlights. Instead we got a power-point promo presentation, much of which could be found on any travel site on the internet--for free. Vadim did a good job of presenting, but could use some help with his content.
8 hours is a long time to be sitting and my original thought was I will never make it. The time just flew by. It was interesting and engaging. I learned so much. Vadim is a great docent.
I looked forward to each days “journey”! Vadim’s lectures covered history, architecture, politics, and geography very well. The only thing I missed was more scenery of the countryside to see what it would be like to take that trip. I am interested to go to see many of the great cities he described, but maybe not on the train!?
Grear trip across the country; learned so much about the history, culture, and architecture along the Trans Siberian - thanks for the tour Vadim, makes me want to explore more, and in person.
