The architect of the Sagrada Familia, Antoni Gaudí, said: "People will come from all over the world to see it". And he was right.

Thanks to Gaudí's unusual working method which applied plaster models and his unique use of the geometry inspired by nature, Gaudí left the path to the current architects. A few years ago, it was announced the Basilica's completion in 2026, commemorating the centennial of Gaudí's death.

In this webinar, we'll learn about Sagrada Familia's overall perspective but emphasizing three important aspects. First, we'll learn more about the architect who designed it, Antoni Gaudí, and his social context, and also the promoters of the church. Secondly, we'll go through the history of the construction and delve into the main sections of his masterpiece. Finally, we'll see why it is possible to complete the remaining 25% of the entire Basilica (started 138 years ago) only 6 years from now.

Led by a local expert on Barcelona and Catalonia architecture, art, and history, Guille Genestar, this interactive conversation will talk about the world-famous Sagrada Familia church and its close completion. Designed to inform curiosity as well as future travels, participants will come away with an increased interest in this wonderful architectural masterpiece and Gaudí's genius.
