Johannes Vermeer, a celebrated painter of the Dutch Golden Age painted around 35 paintings we know of in his lifetime. From the Girl with a Pearl Earring to the Milkmaid, it’s hard to pick a favorite. This conversation will look at the life and a carefully curated selection of his works to understand more about this renowned artist.

For such an enigmatic painter with a very small oeuvre, the painter from Delft has attracted loads of attention, from scholars and art lovers alike. Over the last 150 years, there has been a wealth of publications, documentaries, lectures, novels, and movies that all attempt to shed light on the master and his work.
