The Tower of London volume one focused on the history of the key buildings and characters of the Tower of London. In volume two we will examine the imprisonment, murder, and execution of Kings, Queens, Princes, and Princesses within the walls of the Tower. It is the story of family feuds, ambition, infidelity, and one Kings obsession for male heirs. The story has been brought up to date with the recent discovery of the slaughtered body of one King who may or may not have been the murderer of another King.

Imprisonment, execution, and murder is now part of the Tower’s history but few people have witnessed some of the ancient and traditional ceremonies that take place to this day inside the walls of the Tower. We have the Ceremony of the Lilies and the Roses, the Ceremony of the Keys and the Ceremony of the

Constable’s dues and the Royal Gun Salutes. These all still take place with full pomp and ceremony: we will learn about these ceremonies (one is the oldest military ceremony in the world).

Led by Sean Moran one of London's renowned Blue Badge Guides, who have exclusive access to the Tower of London. This interactive seminar will shed new light on the story of the infamous murder of the Princes in the Tower and introduce you to some of the wonderful traditions and pageantry that takes place today within the walls of this Royal Palace and Fortress the Tower of London.
